Declaration of Disaster / Health Emergency

In Effect for 30 Days From

March 24, 2020

            WHEREAS, on or about 3/16/2020; 03/23/2020 a Health Emergency has caused or threatens to cause injury, damage, and suffering to the persons and property of Bradford Township; and

            WHEREAS, the Health Emergency has endangered the health, safety and welfare of a substantial number of persons residing in Bradford Township, and threatens to create problems greater in scope than Bradford Township may be able to resolve; and

            WHEREAS, emergency management measures are required to reduce the severity of this Health Emergency and to protect the health, safety and welfare of affected residents in Bradford Township;

            NOW, THEREFORE, we, the undersigned Supervisors of Bradford Township, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7501 of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code, (35 PA C.S., Section 7501), as amended, do hereby declare the existence of a Health Emergency in Bradford Township.

            FURTHER, we, direct the Bradford Township Emergency Management Coordinator to coordinate the activities of the emergency response, to take all appropriate actions needed to alleviate the effects of this disaster, to aid in the restoration of essential public services, and to take any other emergency response action deemed necessary to respond to the emergency.

 

            STILL FURTHER, we authorize officials of Bradford Township to act as necessary to meet the current exigencies of this emergency, namely; by the employment of temporary workers, by the rental of equipment, by the purchase of supplies and materials, and by entering into such contracts and agreements for the performance of public work as may be required to meet the emergency; all without regards to those time-consuming procedures and formalities normally prescribed by law, mandatory constitutional requirements excepted. This Declaration of Disaster / Health Emergency is in effect for thirty (30) days from March 24, 2020.    

RESIDENT/PROPERTY ADDRESS SIGNAGE

Beginning August 1, 2016 signs and posts will be available for purchase at the cost of $20.00.

You will pay for the signs at the time you pick them up. Signs will be at the Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Station at 368 Interstate Parkway.

The hours that you can purchase signs will be Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and on Saturday, August 13th, August 20th and September 10th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. 

The pick up form is available for download.  Please take this form with you.

*If you choose to purchase you own sign and post please review Ordinance #2016-03-01 for the specifications of the signs.
